Poultney Bridge, Bath
Tess & I had a day out in Bath today, as I wanted to investigate getting a new camera and trading in some older bits of kit in Jessops. I was particularly interested in the Canon SX70, with its super-zoom, but typically they’d sold the last one in stock on Saturday. They did say they’d get one down from the London store, so we’ll have the excuse for another trip when it comes in.
We haven’t been to Bath since well before lockdown so we had a stroll round all the usual tourist sights, enjoyed a very good “tiffin lunch” in an Indian restaurant and had a walk down Great Poultney Street, to the right of the bridge in the blip, to find the rather smart - and expensive - hotel where our nieces husband is executive chef.
It was graduation ceremony day, presumably for Bath University so there were hordes of be-gowned and mortar-boarded graduates and proud relatives around.
