wide open spaces

I took the afternoon off and we went to Bantry to wish our oldest grandson a happy 13th ( thirteenth !) birthday. I don't know where all the time has gone..

We had a wander round the market, before meeting him from school and had a 'Wokabout' (Thai food from a street vendor, his weekly treat) with him, then went to his house for hastily cooked but delicious coffee and chocolate birthday cake, complete with sparkler candles.

This was taken on the way home, from the Colomane area, looking east. Go large to see the three separate clusters of wind turbines on the horizon.

Its much cooler, cold even. But dry.
I am looking forward to my lie in tomorrow.
