Goodbye Ireland

We have had a fantastic couple of weeks touring the coastal areas of Ireland. Stunning scenery, friendly and welcoming people, easy and free parking, a castle or ruin at every turning!

Today we travelled on towards Rosslare and the ferry to Wales. Passing through one town I noticed a sign for the Poor Clares Monastery and remembered that a blipfriend had transfered from Scotland to Ireland.  We knocked on the door. Unfortunately it was the wrong town but I had a lovely chat with Sister Francis who knows Veronica. Maybe next time we visit Ireland we will get to the right place!

We paused at Cathole Falls where Pepper had fun in the water and then a guided tour of Ferns Castle - very interesting and we were able to get views from the top!

Ferry home very smooth and with sunset opportunities too. We are staying overnight on a car park straight off the boat ready for the last stretch home tomorrow.
