Falling Water

A full on day wending our way through to Horseshoe Falls(really just a series of rapids) and then on to a ruined Abbey. Very enjoyable, and the water gave me an opportunity to play with longer exposures; I had taken a filter with me to slow the exposure a bit more.

These falls are an engineering feat of Thomas Telford whose goal was to feed water into a canal. A brilliant engineer of his time with many significant projects still standing and working.

We had started the day with a visit to the cathedral city of St Asaph - delightful and very interesting. We were surprised to see the grave of the composer William Matthias and his wife (extra). His music is not to everyone's taste but he was very talented.

The motorhome is going well and we are settling into its ways nicely.
