Town Door

Spent the morning in Kirkwall and spotted this letter box in an old door on Laing Street. Just caught my eye and took my fancy - much as did a car yesterday.

We spotted it in the local paper at lunch time, went to see in the afternoon and then picked it up today! It's a Skoda Roomster, lots of room for Ollie, a diesel engine, cheaper to tax, cheaper to run and most important of all, it has a tow bar! It's not in its first flush of youth, but it's wonderful and just exactly what we need. Tonight it had its first proper outing as we took it down to the village for the ceilidh dancing. Had to leave it in the car park though - wouldn't fit in the school hall . . . !
