Uses of old machinery . . .

This old piece of farm machinery is a having a second lease of life, being used as an on land mooring for a boat! As it is very windy and exposed here most boats are brought ashore for the winter. To stop them being blown away they have to be tethered to something solid and immovable - old bits of ironware are plentiful and so often used for the purpose.
