T has nurtured all these flowers from seeds. They are being kept alive with our recycled water from the sink. We don’t have a grey water recovery system in this house. As drought conditions persist in southern and eastern Britain we wish we did. There is now talk of imminent mandatory water restrictions.

Video meetings in the morning before heading out along the Cotswold ridge to meet one of my friends for a pub lunch and catch up. R lives in Wiltshire and we have often collaborated on projects across Europe, Egypt, Nigeria and Colombia.

I enjoyed England’s emphatic win over Sweden after a nervy start this evening. Will they win at Wembley on Sunday? I do hope so.
