Tuesday: Farewell

The day started with us taking Barney to the vet for his pre-departure checks and his certification.  We were a little apprehensive as he was a bit sickly yesterday but he’s all good and cleared to travel. 

Today was my last staff meeting with the team.  My colleague had pulled together a quiz that included questions such as:
- How many Canadian beers has Booky tried?
- How many provinces/territories has Booky visited?

(Answers: 940 and 8).  There were other questions in a similar vein.

Tonight my big boss held a farewell event for four of us who were leaving.  I didn’t feel as emotional as the other three since leaving Vancouver was the big goodbye for us but it was still a lovely occasion.  She also has a telephone box in her garden.
