Last of the Autumn Roses

I told Farmerboy last night that he could sleep in this morning, and I would milk, however, when the alarm went off at 4.30am, I really didn't want to get out of my nice warm bed.

The cows were 20 minutes away from the cowshed, but because they are so slow walking to the shed at this time of the year, I had to allow 30 minutes. They were all sitting down when I got to the paddock, and it took the dogs to go around them barking to get them up and on their way to the shed. They just aren't that keen on being milked at this time of year, but they still have about 3 more weeks before they can 'go on holiday' from milking for the winter.

This rose is one of our last remaining roses left before winter strikes. The colour is really beautiful, and is enhanced by the rain droplets sitting on its petals.
