Polarised Light

Yet another of my experiments with polarised light. On this occasion I was using a circular LED light source and a clear CD. I had great problems keeping this polarised effect whilst trying to centre the LED lights smack bang in the middle of the CD. Slight movements either way sent the whole image skewiff so I have compromised with a slightly off centre view of the LED lights. I photographed it on black velvet then chose a light colour in photoshop to replace the black as I thought it looked more effective. Quite why the polarisation created this daubed paint effect I do not know but I promise you a camera and not a paint brush was used in the making of this image.
