Biel Water at High Tide

When I was taking the dogs for a walk this afternoon I noted that the river was almost perfectly still. This occurs at high tide when the pressure of the rising tide matches the outflow of the river. As it is also nearly full moon currently the river waters rise considerably and flood over the far bank widening the river considerably.

Unfortunately the waters of the river were a bit murky as it had rained heavily yesterday and muck and silt travel down from the Lammermuir Hills next day so the reflections were not as good as they sometimes can be. I have therefore chosen to convert my blip to monochrome as this enables me to maximise any areas of contrast. definitely best seen LARGE
