Cmmelina communis

Ok, this isn't native, but it is a wildflower.

The species is commonly called dayflowers because they don't live long. It is also called Asiatic dayflower.

It looks like I edited it but I didn't, this is SOOC. I don't know why the blue color seems to bleed. An effect of the lens?

It rained while the sun was shining and the sky was blue. I want to know, have you ever seen the rain coming down a sunny day?

The Ukrainian military seems to be turning the tide in the Kherson region. They've now liberated 44 towns and villages along the border, or about 15% of the territory. Today they took back Andriivka and Lozove, putting more Russian positions within range of Ukrainian artillery and giving the troops a morale boost. They are 30 miles from the city.

Ukraine's military intelligence has quietly been training subversives to sabotage and spy.

The news story gave an example of a woman whose husband calls from their farm and gives her information on Russian military movements that she then passes on. He started to lose heart but now he hears the Ukrainian military and his morale has improved.

With their resources expended in the east, Russia is in a weaker position in Kherson.

There is a group of military logistics specialists at the US European Command in Germany that is filling Ukraine's battlefield requests with donations from more than 40 countries. They shipped 105mm howitzers donated by Britain. New Zealand trained them how to use them and provided spare parts. The US supplied ammunition and vehicles to tow them. The specialists try to match requests to donations and then figure out how to move them. They've moved more than 78,000 tons of arms, munitions, and equipment worth more than $10 billion.

Representative Eissa Sotkin, who serves on the House Armed Services Committee, told CNN that more than 75,000 Russian soldiers are estimated to have been killed or injured. Retired US Army General Mark Hertling says that Russia is damning its army to failure with its effort to quickly replenish its forces amid these losses. "They're trying to rebuild units with troops who have never worked together, who are flat-out exhausted, and who don't want to be there in the first place."

A video on social media appears to show a convoy of Russian military retreating from a Kherson town.

Ukrainian forces continue to blow up Russian ammunition depots.
