Copper

A first excursion of the summer holidays. 

Sister #1 was kind enough to come over for a visit and drove us out to Harewood House. I hadn’t been since the 14yo and 17yo were a lot younger. Indeed if I’d done my research I could have staged a reenactment of my last blip from there eight years ago. 

We started in the house, and impressive as all the upstairs artwork is, this below stairs view of the copper pans in the kitchen is more in line with my own ancestry.

Then a walk around the lake, an exploration of the Himalayan garden and a visit with the birds saw out the afternoon.
