Practice Courts

Another volunteer shift, still helping the athletes get from the athletes’ village to the various halls for their sport.  For the first time I was presented with a couple of pins to add to my Lanyard.  It’s a thing, apparently, to collect pins from the different teams which are given out for help provided to them.

Last night we got the explanation for various things we’d seen at the dress rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony last Sunday.  Would have loved to be there, here’s hoping for a brilliant eleven days.

This image shows the practice courts for the badminton.  I was kindly shown around the warm up, show and match courts during a quiet moment.  Not sure we will be allowed into the halls once competition starts.
