Hot dog

Our friend N from Geneva called in to see us. She brought her dog B with her. It was lovely to see them again and it was a sunny 24 degrees as we sipped coffee in the garden and had a great catch up.
In the slightly cooler afternoon we went for a walk through the woods beside the stream that still, amazingly, had a trickle of water in it, despite the heat cracked clay on its banks. Hosepipe bans are beginning in the south .
