Fallen leaves, falling water

Quick blip from the bottom of the garden again today folks.

Recent rain has seen the Kaituna river come up a bit, what's more the small feeder stream from the hills behind us is now flowing again.

Autumn is in full swing, as the streamside willows start shedding their yellow teardrop leaves along the river and its banks.

What's more it's been a balmy 20C today too - although I may have been cooking whilst splitting and chopping firewood earlier, it's great to be doing it on such a fine day. Long may they continue (but somehow I think they won't!)
