Scout Jamboree

I wandered up to the scout hall this morning at 8:15 to see Ben and his fellow scouts away in the bus to somewhere in a field near Knutsford, Cheshire! It doesn’t seem that long since waved Cameron off going to the same event! They’ve got their kilts for when they arrive on the camp site - Ben looks very smart in it. I was complimented on my sewing prowess with not seeing any stitches on the shirt!!

Not sure how many are going from all over the U.K. but it’s loads. The theme this year is Space and it’s rumoured Tim Peake is making an appearance. lots of events are planned and it’s four to a tent. Im not sure much washing will be taking place:). Some mothers were very upset saying goodbye to their kids - I suppose this is their first big trip away on own.

We then walked down to Tabu for breakfast. It was warm today so outside it was. Then walked up to mum with some shopping and then a walk home.

By this time it was 1:30 and was starving! Lunch in the garden, some gardening then tea time . Saturday has flown by.
