A beautiful evening after a very welcome dry day. 386mm of rain fell here in July.
Extra: When I investigated a kerfuffle in the kowhai tree I was surprised to see a kereru (N.Z. wood pigeon) under attack from a tui. Kereru are much smaller than tui but tui are fiercer and eventually the kereru flew away. Kowhai flowers are loved by tui and kereru are partial to the leaves.
