Barbecue

It was Adam’s birthday today and he’d asked for a trip out to Wisley which we did this morning. It was much hotter than I expected - I think I see a forecast of 26C and think it’s not that hot, having had temperatures of 37 the other week. And then I wonder why I feel hot. Prior to this year, I would have thought twice about going out somewhere in 26 degrees!

We’d planned for a barbecue for the evening but it wasn’t the greatest success. It seemed to take a long while to get going, then once we were ready to eat, the wasps arrived so we ended up eating inside. Which might have been a good idea because it also felt like rain was coming anyway. But the food itself was lovely! I only have a small barbecue so Paul had the great idea of using one of the oven shelves propped up on bricks to give us a bigger cooking space - it worked well.
