We drove up to Cork for the Pride celebrations this afternoon. Lovely weather and a huge crowd. We hooked up briefly with J (extra) and soaked in the happy vibes for a while, I took a few photos here
My main shot is Arthur, he's a long-standing gay activist in Cork and a major force in the local effort of gay, lesbian, environmental and alternative groups here. Co-founder of the Quay Co-Op, 40 years ago in 1982, now a thriving collective with no profit taken out of the business and a great reputation for their food products and cafe business. What we were looking at today was simply inconceivable 40 years ago. It wouldn't have happened without activists like him.
