Long Day

We were just finishing our lunch when the clock said 4 pm. That’s when we knew without doubt that it had been a long day!

We got to take our time getting up and ready to head off to church as it doesn’t start until 10:30 am now. Since Kent likes to play prelude music we arrive about 10 am.

When sacrament meeting was over, instead of going into Sunday school, we stayed in the chapel so Kent could practice playing the songs for the Spanish speaking meeting. Although familiar with the hymns, there are occasionally extra notes in the Spanish version.

Then it was the first sacrament meeting of the Wilmington 3rd Branch, Spanish speaking. There leaders were called and sustained and they and their spouses bore their testimonies. With so much happening, the meeting ran late. I didn’t understand what was being said, but I felt their emotions and spirit. I was so worth staying to be a part of.

Kent got the wok out and did a simple stir fry with rice for our lunch, making enough for us to have some for lunch tomorrow too.

We watched Music and the Spoken Word at a later time on BYU tv and the I worked on downloading all the photos I had taken at Caroline & Jacob’s reception Friday night and got them sent to her and her parents.

I’m ready for a slow day tomorrow!
