Brightening up the pond.

I spent an hour today going through clothes - three piles - clothes to give away, clothes to take with us to Ireland in the car, clothes that will go into storage, and join us in Ireland in a few months.

STILL waiting for the lawyers of the owners of the attached semi to review the Form RX - since we have agreed to pay their extortionate fees (of £250 + VAT) I think we are entitled to gently hassle them (daily?) to pull their finger out!!!!  So that is what we will be doing - we have the name of the person responsible.

We will need to dismantle our bed tomorrow morning, as the bed end needs a little TLC and glue, and it (along with the mattress, and lots of other stuff) is being collected on Thursday by The British Heart Foundation.  We're passing on our king size bed, and will sleep in a standard double for the rest of the time we are here - let's hope it's not too long!

W has spent some time in the workshop, but is understandably struggling with motivation - quite apart from the rather humid heat.  Another hot day expected tomorrow, after that the forecast suggests it will cool down - but no prospect of any rain this week.
