Goodbye, sweet baby bunbun
We had a horrid shock this morning. Katie went down to Odie and found she'd died. It was a distressing sight for Katie. The poor rabbit had been attacked by a neighbours cat who'd managed to get into our run by destroying part of it. This happened a few days but the bunny didn't seem to recover from it. Katie was devastated. We had to leave very soon after, it all had to be dealt with really quite swiftly. Much more rushed than I'd have liked.
I had something I couldn't reschedule shortly after, she was being dropped off at the Centre, so had to do her goodbyes there and then as she wasnt coming home and specifically wanted our usual "have her buried with the other pets" plan.
We had to leave to go away this afternoon. There were lots of tears but it distracted her too. We stopped on our journey at Hardwick Hall which brought some smiles. The hotel pool was a well planned decision - taken at the urging of friends, fortuitously before we even knew about the demise of the bunny...
We love you little Odie. It wasn't your time.
This photo was taken at her wanting, shared with her blessing.
