Today's the day ............................ to pair up

I was working today and so I was indoors for most of it. It was just lovely though to walk home along the riverside at the end of the day and breathe in the fresh air.

This pair of goosanders were almost motionless in the water, drifting along - occasionally having a bit of a preen but otherwise looking very tranquil and perfectly at home with each other .......................
