Lake swim

Today was like a holiday after yesterday! A big hike up and over a col on a fine sunny day. Breakfast at 6.30am - and the coffee was hot. Then after the col a picnic on a slightly higher peak, descent to a lake where we swam and had another good break, on down to the reservoir fo a welcome buvette where we got shade and cold drinks. Finally to our dorm accommodation in a rather nice gite attached to a service station on the main road to Italy via the St Bernard pass/tunnel. A lot of Swiss fighting cows in their correct nation - extra of what looked like a pet one with its herdsman.
