Afternoon Snack

We spent a lot of time outside with Piper today.  After her vet appointment, we gave her medicine and she followed that with her usual breakfast.  Then she went outside and hasn't come back in.  She prefers to be out in the fresh air, so we've been out there keeping an eye on her.

We had a much better experience with her regular vet this morning.  She had a good exam, chest x-ray and blood tests.  The x-ray was normal and we'll have lab results tomorrow.  Her breathing is about the same today, but she hasn't had any more episodes like the one yesterday that scared us.  The vet will call us tomorrow with results and a treatment plan.  She was started on antibiotics in the meantime in case she has an infection.  So, now we're waiting and watching her.  We're still very worried. 

I am grateful to Dr. Thornton for being so gentle and caring with Piper.
