2022 Monday — Friends Forever

We are amazed at the speed of time. The last time we were with Paul & Virginia was five years ago tomorrow. Back then it was a surprise meeting on the sand in Morro Bay.

Today we had breakfast with them at Dorn's Restaurant in Morro Bay overlooking the Embarcadero. Almost two hours of catching up with them was very enjoyable.

Paul & Virginia were the directors of family camp at Camp By the Sea on Catalina Island for many years. We first met them in September of 1980 at the family camp that started on Labor Day Monday. Paul’s parents were the camp directors and Paul & Virginia and their 3 month old daughter Kari were on staff. We have a long wonderful friendship with them.

Seeing these friends was delightful. We will be terribly disappointed if we are never at a camp with them again, but knowing that we will spend eternity with them is so very wonderful.

We love them like family. They are family! We’re going to live forever with them. Family camp will continue in eternity if not on earth! We are thankful for the Friesens and their ministry.
