Seasons End - Pontypridd v Llanelli

And so the regular season ends for 2012/13, and once again we finish top of the Principality Premiership, this year by a staggering margin. There are of course the play offs to come. So despite being 29 points and 8 wins behind us, the team finishing third can still be declared champions. An utter nonsense in my opinion ... and I don't care if I support said teams or watch said sport .. play offs are rubbish!

Newport were the only team to have downed us this season, and that was by a single point. Only Leinster A beat us outside of the league, and Jersey managed a draw with us in the BIC Cup. It really was a dominant Ponty team. Can we finally go on and do the double now. Three years running we have been cup finalists and table toppers, but we have only won the league or the cup.

It was a tough old last game, and we might meet Llanelli again in the final, as they finished third, and now play Llandovery for the right to play us at Sardis Road on my birthday on the 18th. Llanelli had a nervous wait as we even stole their bonus point off them with the last kick of the game, but qualified for 3rd on virtue of points difference.

It's been an amazing season, and I still didn't get to as many games as I would have liked. I got some cracking photos today. It is so much more pleasurable photographing in the sun, rather than the gloom.

Yesterday and today were good days!
