Parked
I went along to Warriston Crematorium to attend the funeral of Jane B who'd been married to my colleague Alan for 52 years. They played an old recording of her singing the very challenging Poor Wandering One from the Pirates of Penzance - an amazingly good performance. And after the usual hymns and tributes from family and friends, the proceedings closed with another old recording, this time of Alan singing 'Aye Fond Kiss' in his fine light tenor. Not a dry eye in the place. Hmm, second Thursday in a row I've had a funeral to attend.
I didn't go to the refreshments that were offered in Portobello, but slid along to Ocean Terminal for a few messages. Was surprised to see this large ship apparently parked amongst the tramworks - turns out it's the cruise ship Sirena.
