Gibraltar Point
Sallied south to Gibraltar Point via Skeg. Superb weather other than that it was very breezy. After a latte on the viewing deck we adjourned to Tennyson Sands. Spoonbills, geese, ducks, plovers, seagulls and swallows, or were they house Martin's?
At any rate, I was able to get close to a fledgling perched on a fence outside the hide, so I should be able to make an identification when I get the photo on the computer.
There was also a magnificent buddleia outside which was hosting a myriad of Admiral butterflies.
We stopped at the Atlantic Fish Bar in Skeg where we supped on fish and chips. Mine were gluten free. We finished off with an ice cream cornet at Farmer Brown's.
Walked Basil to the front and back when we got home . He ran all the way to the advancing sea.
