Long Live Rock and Roll!
It's a quick one tonight. I nodded off in the middle of Britain's Got Talent and have just been catching up with that and The Voice.
Yeah, yeah I know. Today was supposed to be the important blip. I think the fact I was reminded about it earlier in the week put me off the idea and made me leave posting until late. No special fireworks or constructing numbers for me!
As is typical, having seen nothing but pigeons and squirrels all week, tits of all varieties turned up in a gang landing in pairs on the feeders taunting me through the window while I was on the phone talking to Mom! She rang up asking about fat balls! The birds up in Ayr had eaten the lot and she ran up the road to Wilkinsons to get more. I was delighted! Dad would have been really pleased too. Bird watching is clearly an infectious pleasure.
It's a bit like Blipfoto really. Once started it's hard to stop. The friends you make and the lives you share are wonderful. I have come very close to giving up a few times but then I read something that makes me either weep or almost pull a muscle laughing and I end up with a face aching with smiles! I wonder if anyone has ever been to the doctor with Blipfoto induced injuries? I know a few Blip pals have taken dreadful chances and risked serious injury in the quest for a perfect photo!
Not me today. It was the usual trip to Stratford upon Avon and here is Paul (one of the Garrick regular visitors) who had just refused to pay ten pence for a carrier bag in a supermarket up the road. 'It's the principal of the thing!' he squawked while squashing his Saturday night bottles in with his steak and bacon from the butchers round the corner. The butcher had provided a bag....
Thank you all so much for being here. I really can't say more without turning this into an Oscar acceptance speech and I haven't enough tissues in the house for that.
Track? You know me! I do this for the music as much as anything else! Here's a cracker from Rainbow - Long Live Rock and Roll!
