Opening portals

An adventure! Suzi has been corresponding, wondering if I would take her to the holy wells at Lough Hyne. Of course. Today was the day and the lads went off to climb the hill behind the Lough whilst Suzi, her friend and I checked out the wells. Two are tucked into the woods and easy to access - an eye well and a well offering cures for deafness, skin complaints and ague! The third well I was less hopeful for, for it is on private land and access not readily gained. Suzi and R worked hard on opening portals and focusing on gratitude and it was extraordinary! As we arrived down a miniscule road the car parked in the only parking spot moved for us. The forbidding gates opened and we were led into the courtyard, entry happily given and off we went down the long boreen with spectacular views out to the lough. There was a gang of frisky donkeys and a man doing some bee keeping en route! The well is very hard to access and was much overgrown but we clambered up, through the bracken and gorse and admired the well -  double bullaun stone said to have been caused by St Bridget kneeling down to pray and leaving her knee prints!  Delightful company, two people who truly appreciated the experience.
The lads were waiting on a wall and it was straight into Skib for some late lunch. We're now all wrecked for some reason.
