Shoes Not Made for Walking

I went to watch the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march today -- men walking in women's shoes to promote awareness of violence against women and help fundraise for Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services (DVSAS) of Whatcom County.

Some of the shoes looked extremely uncomfortable. The walkers also had to endure cold winds and torrential rain. Some found solace at an after-party in the Boundary Bay Brewery beer garden.

I didn't feel like huddling under a marquee to drink cold beer and watch the rain, so I grabbed a latte at the Farmers Market before driving home.
