SILLY SATURDAY BLIPMEET - SPOT THE HUMAN!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Today has been a very special day for us - the day we were due to meet the GWNN - and what a day it has been.  We hardly slept because we were so excited and we even had a midnight feast - well it was more like a 2 o’clock in the morning feast, but whatever time it was, it was good.

We all did our Covid tests last night, including the HCBs and then after we had all had our shower and had our hair brushed, we set off - sitting in the back seat of Mr. & Mrs. HCB’s new car - and what an experience that was.  We were just hoping that we didn’t get stopped by the Police because there weren’t enough seat belts for all of us, but we were fine.

We arrived at Mr. & Mrs. T’s home and found that the GWNN were there waiting - and if you are wondering, that stands for “Gang with No Name”, and what a lovely bunch they were - I think they were glad to see us though, because they were all on top of a very high wardrobe and it was rather warm up there.

It was great to meet Mr. & Mrs. T because we know that Mrs. HCB and Mrs. T have been trying to arrange this meeting for a while.  They decided that it would be good for us all to meet, not only in memory of dear Admirer, but also in memory of Mrs. T’s lovely Mum, Deanna_Pearce, who sadly died 3 months ago, so here we all are - AND NOT ONLY the SSG and the GWNN BUT ALSO KG, Deanna’s husband with Deanna's panda and Tasmanian Devil, named Taz.  It was a meeting much like the gangs in West Side Story, but so violent!

You can imagine what a noisy party it was, but if you thought there could be a party with no noise and no cake then that would definitely be silly.  Actually when we first arrived, we found Mr. T. sitting by a table on which was a bowl of chocolates - and not just any old chocolates, but these were Lindt Lindors chocolates.  Well you all know by now that Mrs. HCB is a chocoholic and her eyes lit up when she saw the bowlful.  Mr. T was very gracious and said that she could have one or two, or even three or four - she didn't need a second bidding and was in there!

However, she had taken a little gift for Mr. T - and you can see this in the extra photograph - but said that she wouldn't eat any chocolates until Mr. T had opened his gift - do you know, he purposely didn't open it!  We could see that Mrs. HCB was getting rather anxious - she gets like that when there are chocolates around - so he did eventually open it and then she enjoyed several of the chocolates.  Mrs. T very kindly put some into their bag to bring home - but we can tell you, they won't last long!

So the main photograph is the SSG and the GWNN together with Mr. HCB, lying on the carpet - he's the one with the Tilley hat, in case you didn't know - then Mrs. HCB got down on the carpet too.  The other (hu)man is KG, Deanna's lovely husband - none of us had met before, so it was good to chat to him and then of course, there is Amanda_T known as Mrs. T, Deanna's daughter and if you click on her link, you can see her account of the day.  Unfortunately, Mr. T was not mobile enough to come out into the garden with us, but we made sure he was included in all the frivolity and we could tell he really enjoyed seeing us all.

In the extra you can see Mr. T with his gift - a little inside out fluffy octopus - I told him that he could show Mrs. T how he was feeling by choosing which way his octopus was on his hand - and you can see he is practising well - with the smiley face and then the miserable face.  We had great fun watching him making faces - and they were definitely silly.

We think that Admirer would have loved to see us all together and for all we know, she and Deanna will be having their own party in heaven but we’re not sure whether there are any SSGs or GWNNs up there!

We want to say a special THANK YOU to Mr. & Mrs. T. for making us so welcome - she even prepared a cream tea for us - and we really enjoyed that.

We gave KG a lift home because he isn't allowed to drive, because of eye issues, and he said he really does miss Deanna, because she used to do all the driving.  He only lived in the next village, so Mr. HCB was happy to take him.

We do hope we get invited to see them again and of course, Mrs. HCB hopes there will be more chocolates - what is she like?

One more thing - KG very kindly said that Taz could join our SSG and Mrs. T gave Mrs. HCB a lovely little bear to add to the gang too.  We have decided to name the bear Mrs. T. in her honour.  Our gang is growing but one thing we didn't do was count how many we were altogether.  Ah well, we shall have to go back now!!
