Off to a new home
A small select bunch have left home. The bears, elephant, mouse and two of the cats were made before lockdown as donations for a sales table at a local quilt show. The show didn’t take place and the rest of the gang have been given away over the past couple of years.
We have a relatively new shop in the village which sells all sorts of crafted and hand made things, so I asked the lady who runs it if I could donate the items and any proceeds be donated to a charity of their choice. They run support groups / meetings etc so are sensitive to local needs. She was happy to care for them in the interim. I’m happy to have an empty space.
It was too warm to garden this afternoon, so I did some sewing. In the absence of a better offer, the item made will be blipped tomorrow.
Update on the fire in Nottinghamshire which we saw last night. It has died down and there isn’t any smoke to be seen from Tuxford, but I would expect that the fire services will still be in attendance dampening down to make sure that it is safely out.
