On the Island

We had an early start in Ullapool to make sure we made our ferry to Lewis and Harris (see extra). Although it was raining, we had a relatively calm crossing (just over 2 hours) before arriving at Stornaway. This afternoon we had a little pootle around one side of the island before heading for our lovely b&b which will be home for the next few days.

This evening we drove across the island to Uig Bay and the fantastic Uig Sands Restaurant for a really good dinner. Shot this view on the drive over (in the pouring rain).

My (Chris) camera (Canon R6) has decided now is the time to throw a wobbly, it is repeatedly crashing with an Err 70 error and despite changes of battery, memory card, different memory card slot, different lenses it isn’t playing ball. Might be a week of iPhone photography by the look of things. Can’t be helped of course and at least I have the phone (but quite annoying), should have brought a second camera body of course.
