Pineapple?

Well, no. Although this Wikipedia article says it resembles a pineapple. It's actually Pandanus tectorius, a very common tree around here, usually growing close to the ocean. It is said to have many common names, but here it's always called pandanus. It grows from South-east Asia to the east coast of Australia and Pacific islands. I've blipped them many times before, including this one last December.
