Stephanotis floribunda

Today we had to do some housework which had  been rather neglected with us being away last week.
However, we did make time to book a holiday for next summer! It is a guided walk of the South Downs Way (SDW)based at Abingworth in Sussex. The beauty of this holiday is we'll be transported to and from each day's walk and  will have all meals provided by the hotel. The SDW runs from Winchester to Eastbourne, covering a distance of 109 miles, which will be spread over nine days of walking. Although it seems a long time to wait I'm sure it will come round quickly!
I've been waiting a few years for my Stephanotis to flower again. I have learned the hard way that it is quite fussy (requiring  rain water and not to be moved from its  current east facing window ledge)  However, as it had grown  large and straggly, I risked  pruning  and  repotting  it this spring. I have  now been rewarded with the  appearance of a few flower sprays. This is the first to open. The flowers have a lovely scent and I think will last a while, so my patience has paid off.
