The Same, Only Different

We had another extremely quiet day. The weather was too warm to stay outside long. At first light, I headed to the hosta beds checking on the fungi I saw yesterday. The biggest one was ruined but I managed to find three others. They are probably from the same family but each is a bit different. To fill out the collage, I found these multicolor gill polypore on some old pieces of firewood. I chatted with my daughters today and caught up on several events in their lives. Seems like ages since we’ve had time to just talk. Hubby worked on our smoke detectors, ensuring the batteries were still good. Something happened to the basement unit and it now sets off two others whenever it is installed. And one is in our bedroom. Those screeches gave me plenty of exercise today. The nasty taste is back. Tonight is my last dose of “the cocktail.” Sure hope the nastiness does not linger. I am looking forward to enjoying a meal again. Living on crackers, popsicles and rice is no joy. But I am very thankful to have them in abundance thanks to family members. I uploaded another back blip, only two more to finish. That was our day. Stay safe folks. Hope your weekend was memorable. Everything I read says the COVID numbers are rising. Thanks for stopping by and leaving stars and encouragement. Really appreciated. “Our path may be different but our purpose of journey is the same” - DEBASISH MRIDHA
