Baddesley Clinton

This is one of my favourite NT places. Everyone is so friendly and the gardeners are just brilliant.

I always find the first glimpse of the moated house stunning, but the shimmering bright stone, against that bluest of blue skies, was just breathtaking.

They had some of the garden produce for sale in Reception. Just a couple of cucumbers and the biggest onions I ever did see. I didn’t buy. Well, what can you do with an onion the size of a cauliflower?

Thank goodness they put lovely seats in shady spots. It was very hot.
