Dismantled my desktop PC today as when I ran a system check I found that it was only recognising 1.75GB of RAM...and there's 2 x 2GB RAM chips in there - figured one had come loose.

Took this AFTER hoovering the caked on dust from the insides of the machine! One of the memory cards WAS loose, so I have slotted it back in, but since rebooting, there's still no change. Wondering if I dislodged it again?! Need to figure it out because the desktop PC is like a dog with no legs ...very slow :-)

Busy day, kind of. Lots of domestic things like cleaning and washing. Made a lemon meringue pie, and 12 jam tarts with the left over pastry. James and his mate, Jack, have eaten 8 of the jam tarts already. Corin and I have eaten half of the pie. Yum.

Jack's mum arrived here about 4pm having hadlwax (she's a beauty therapist) had fallen over in the boot of the car and there was wax everywhere - it had stuck the lid of the box tight shut, and stuck her plastic carry case to the carpet. We also thought that the machine itself was beyond redemption as it was literally covered in the stuff - my god it sticks to everything - never ever having my legs waxed!

Anyway, bless Corin, he spent an hour cleaning it all up whilst she went off to visit another client. Can't stand by and not help. Thanks Scott and Lindsey for the chocs and the wine....!

Right, post blip, shut down desktop and dismantle for the second time today. Joy.
