Lorna's niece and Cousin Diana's grandson

This photograph was taken in Hazel's back garden in Edinburgh.

The woman pictured here is probably the only person left alive who was known to Lorna. She is Lorna's niece Gillian, the child mentioned in this line of Lorna's brother's letter to his father to inform him of the detail Lorna's burial in February 1942:

'I hope my little daughter may in her innocence and babyhood, help to fill the gap God has seen fit to make in all our lives.'

Pictured with Lorna's niece is Lorna's first cousin Diana's grandson. If we had not blipped Lorna's war diary these two branches of the Lloyd family, i.e. (1) that descended from Lorna's father Albert and (2) that of his younger brother (Lorna's Uncle) Percy, would never have been reunited.
