A text for our times :

“Hi, Severn Trent here, since we last spoke we have not had any decent rain and experienced the driest July in over a century! With low rainfall and the sunshine here to stay, please stay hydrated and continue to use water wisely. Thank you.”

I think that the talk of an official drought for much of England being declared soon is now highly likely.

My blip was taken while resting in the shade of the false acacia tree this afternoon.

This evening just up the road at Cheltenham Race course a two horse race was taking place. The winner, by September 5th, wins the keys to No 10 Downing Street!
