Timed?
I had an early appointment in Gloucester. Despite a three way temporary traffic light en route I made good progress. It was a lovely sunny morning. I suspect the same journey when the schools are back and less people are WFH would take considerably longer.
This Blip is my third and final medieval monochrome image taken on our walk through the village this afternoon. The village featured in the Domesday Book and there are still a surprising number of buildings dating back to those days.
I am not sure what the Domesday scribes would have made of the village today. 180 degrees from where I took this Blip and about 350 metres across the churchyard there is now a large supermarket claiming every little helps. In sight of that supermarket there is a second one with a name that is a pun of its competitor’s strap line! Despite the presence of these mega grocers the village’s Main Street is also a very vibrant and viable place.
