Easy but crowded journey up to Edinburgh from Ilkley. had a seat though on every train. The AC worked and none of my seats were in the sun so I’m not complaining!
Walked through a packed Waverley station and through the similarly packed old town up to Ds. Lovely to see all the crowds ! Good to ditch my case , have a quick change and head off to Glasgow to see Candide. Road was very busy but we arrived in time. Fantastic relaxed promenade production. Lots of energy and joy with an excellent community choir. There aren’t many opera performances where you can eat a picnic during the production! Completely mad plot and despite having a programme I realise I missed some of it but didn’t care really! Had switched my phone off so took no photos so here is a snap of the programme. Tricky journey home
