Supplies getting low..

When you have a wood burning stove, you need a good supply of dry wood. Our byre, used as a log store, had a major problem when storing logs. They were stacked along the back wall and then in rows to the front of the store, which meant it was difficult to rotate the stock, and have split logs dry enough for the stove.

Solution. Build some partition walls, so we can have a proper rotation and have logs reachable. So, a few bits of 2 by 4, and a couple of pallets, and the first partition is built.

Just need to chop the rest of these logs to clear space for the second partition. Would have carried on chopping, but stopped by three things. 1. Teatime. 2. Blisters. 3. I'm exhausted.

Just to keep my axe chopping arm in good shape, Tanni has worked out an exercise regime for me. I throw the frisbee, Tanni fetches it back. I throw it again. It's been going well today with the strong breeze, from outside the byre, I can throw it 2 or 300 yards down the croft..

music (this is the reason why I don't have a TV)
