Chimney Gargoyle, Cerne Abbas
My brother took us on a splendid tour in Dorset today which took us to Cerne Abbas, Maiden Castle and Thomas Hardy's birthplace.
Naturally my first thought for a blip was the famous Cerne Abbas Giant, but when we explored the village we came across this splendid open-mouthed gargoyle on the wall of St Mary's Church. It is in fact the chimney outlet for a fireplace in the priest's room.
