In bloom
Too hot again today, and I have hardly ventured outside. I started the day with enthusiasm with an efficient to-do list, determined to get things done, but I didn’t get very far before I found it too much and gave up. But at least I made a start.
The tree in my blip is one we planted about fifteen years ago as a sapling. It is a relative of the ordinary privet and is called ligustrum lucidum. It has been smothered in flowers for a week or two, and now they are beginning to drop their tiny white petals, much to the annoyance of our neighbour where they drop on her car. We keep cutting back her side of the tree but it keeps on growing. Later there will be berries and they make even more of a mess!
