London A-Z: Meadow Garth NW10....
...for me one of London's real hidden treasures, its obvious beauty speaks for itself, yet for me a London sight vastly overlooked.
This is the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir (otherwise known as Neasden Temple, which to be fair is easier to pronounce), for all the pictures I see photographed on this site, I am not sure that I have ever seen it blipped, it will also be interesting to know how many blippers are aware of its existence.
This is Europe first traditional Hindu Temple opened in 1995 it is built with 5,000 tonnes of Italian Marble and Bulgarian limestone, the most shocking part is that it only took 2 ½ years to build by craftsmen and a group of volunteers.
I have more pictures for you to see, along with another colour v black and white debate, the only shame is that although you are permitted to photograph the exterior cameras are not allowed inside so I can't show you that beauty, but if you are interested it is open 7 days a week and free to enter.
It was my aim during this series to show you London's rich tapestry, this is the halfway point and I would like to think that I am on my way to achieving that.
Thanks to everyone for the all the hearts a received on yesterdays blip, I had a feeling it would go down well, it's a stunning place.
The boys have got an inset day tomorrow and Jayne has the day off so it's a long weekend, if you want to join us by drinking wine and dancing around like madmen to this song on repeat if you want. Hope you've had a great weekend.
