Sunset

Oldest son James arrived at our house just before the 12.30pm kick off of the Cardiff City FC match v Birmingham broadcast on Sky tv. Cardiff totally dominated and won 1-0 and a good match to watch.

We took the rest of the afternoon easy, with temperatures nearing 35C before going out for a meal and drink in Ross on Wye (Herefordshire UK) this evening, followed by a drink at the Harp Inn, Hoarwithy.

On the way home along a country lane in Upper Grove Common, I spotted the red sun setting and stopped to get my blipfoto. I'd just finished when a woman walking her dogs past and I started chatting. Turns out her name is Susan and she used to live opposite our house before she moved. She knows our friends in the village and we've told her to pop in when next visting. A lovely chance meet to make a memorable sunset.
